The Problem

No matter how tough life may sometimes get for those of us in the finance industry, there are many less-privileged people for whom it’s much, much tougher.

Our Approach

Our trustees traditionally choose lesser known Asian charities and NGOs that have less access to resources. These charities are thoroughly vetted to ensure they are trustworthy and properly managed. Our low running costs and due diligence ensures your donation helps those who need it most.

Impact

So far FABBAs has redistributed over Hk$55M. This money has helped educate children in Laos, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Philippines and China. It has sent containers of supplies to refugees in Syria. It has dug wells supplying drinking water to remote villages. It has provided care for aids patients. It has paid for much needed operations. It has changed countless lives for the better.

The FABBAs Awards

Finance is serious business but that doesn’t mean we always have to be serious. The FABBAs Awards is a lighthearted look at our industry’s foibles and more humorous moments. Past recipients of the awards have humbly accepted their award as their peers applaud happy knowing this year it wasn’t them.

The Event

The event is a riotous affair of entertainment, fun, and camaraderie, bringing together over 400 of the industry’s senior professionals for good food, wine, comedy, the Awards, and, of course, raising money through games, auctions and other prizes. It’s rare that our very competitive industry has the opportunity to get together in such a friendly and worthwhile way.

FABBAs need your support

At the Event & Behind the Scene

FABBAs is a volunteer-driven organization – The small group of trustees that manage everything are often juggling between their day jobs, family commitments and the incredible amount of work it takes to make FABBAs happen. We keep overheads low so all donations on the night can go directly to charity. FABBAs cant happen without volunteers. There are volunteer opportunities available in all aspects of our work.
